Do I have to stick with the group?
You don't have to but photowalks are always more fun when you're with a group.
Do I need to be a professional?
No, you can join a photowalk using a Digital SLR, Point & Shoot camera or even a cell phone camera.
Do photowalks cost money?
Typically no but some walks may take place at a location that requires admission fees, like a zoo for example.
How far do we walk?
Each photowalk is different...
How long does a photowalk last?
Each photowalk is different but the typical photowalk is about 2 hours
How should I dress?
Casual but be prepared for whatever the weather may bring. Always check your local weather!
Is there any training during a photowalk?
Photowalks are not intended to be training sessions as you learn by socializing with other photographers on the walk. However, sometimes there will be a photographer willing to give lessons on techniques during the photowalk.
So what do we do when it’s over?
Some photowalk groups will go out to a restaurant or diner to talk, share photos and enjoy a nice meal. Some groups with have a picnic or just go their separate ways. Each group and photowalk will be different.
What am I supposed to take pictures of?
Anything that interests you or catches your eye
What do I need to bring with me?
The simplest answer: A camera

You can bring extra lenses and a tripod. Always try to bring extra memory cards and batteries just in case!
